Join the Mississippi Children's Museum on Saturday, January 13 and 27, from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm for our Visiting Artist Series! Kathryn Gurtler Wilson holds a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Dance from Belhaven University. She has danced with Sarasota Contemporary Dance, Intersect Dance Collective, and co-founded her own company, Kinetic Etchings. She served as the assistant stage manager for the International Ballet Competition USA 2014, and currently teaches for the IBC through their City Dance Program. Kathryn also teaches and choreographs for other dance schools in the metro Jackson area including The Studio, Epic Dance, and Repeat Performance. On these two special days, Kathryn will be providing a ballet workshop that will expand guests’ knowledge of classical dance vocabulary, coordination, musicality, strength, and flexibility. This program is included in general admission and museum membership, and is supported in part by funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission, a state agency, with funding, in part, from the National Endowment for the Arts.
